Happiness - Epilogue

Continued from Happiness Part VII

Elsewhere, Kazumi was deep in conversation, though their topic was a very unusual one.
“Man…” her conversational partner was saying, in a feminine alto. “My ass expanding feels so good!”
Kazumi smirked. “Just wait ‘till you grow boobs. It’s just… amazing.”
“I look forward to… oh… hang on… mmm…” the other person blushed. “I… I think that was my…”
“Yeah, you’re a girl now. Just one more thing left…”

Iora made her way back to the table, a tray of drinks in hand, as the newly-transformed barkeep began making out with a customer. “Hey, girls!” she said to Alaya and Tokiyo, handing them their drinks, before turning to another girl. “Wow, you turned out great!”
“Yeah,” she said, smiling at the compliment. “My name’s Jane now. Oh, that reminds me…” she took her glass of Iora and raised it. “Thanks, Alaya!” Alaya raised her glass and nodded in response, when a man came up to the table.
“Hey”, he said, in an irritating, over-confident tone, “I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many hot chicks together before. Normally, there’s at least one let-down but here… phwoar!”
Iora, Alaya and Tokiyo were positively glaring at him now, but Jane just smiled. “Hey, why don’t you join us?” she asked, kissing him on the cheek. “I’m sure you’ll fit right in…”

Meanwhile, Dyla and Izumi had hit the dance floor. Well, kind of: Dyla was certainly making some form of vaguely rhythmic movement, and Izumi was standing to one side, laughing.
“Man, I thought maybe you’d be better at dancing now, but… BAHAHAHAHAHA!”
“Whatever.” responded Dyla, rolling her eyes as she stopped. “I don’t need to dance anyway, I look hot enough standing still.”
“Now that I can agree on.” smirked Izumi, as the pair strolled back to their table.
“I kissed 6 dancers on the way back here. You?” bragged Izumi, when they were sat back down.
“Only 4.” pouted Dyla.
“Looks like you owe me a drink.”

Mia waved to Sal (who, moments ago, was Sam) as the latter moved off to find others to make happy. Mia was looking for someone, too, but she had a more specific goal in mind. It wasn’t long before she found her.
“Alexis!” she exclaimed, a smile spreading across her face. “There you are; I’ve been looking all over for you!”
“Mia! Hey!” Alexis gestured for her to come over, then at another girl at the same table, wearing a white-and-purple frilly bikini. “This is Raye!”
Mia looked over to the new girl, who was sipping on a creme de menthe. She was certainly attractive, and looked like a nice enough girl. “I’ll take it you turned her, then?”
“Yep!” responded Alexis, in that adorable little soprano voice of hers. “I think she’s my girlfriend now, too.” Mia’s eyes narrowed somewhat, but nobody seemed to notice.
“Am I your girlfriend?” smirked Raye, raising an eyebrow. On second thoughts, Mia reflected, she looked far too confident. Cocky, even. And there was something in her eyes, like she was planning something. Something bad. And she didn’t look that good, even! Her hair was ridiculous, all tied up like that. And that gradient! Ugh!
Regardless of Mia’s opinion’s of Raye, Alexis continued the conversation. She was blushing now. It was still cute, but seeing it now didn’t make Mia feel any better, for some reason. “Well… do you want to be my girlfriend?”
“I’d like that.”
“Well then… yes, you are my girlfriend.” The two leaned across the table and kissed as Mia turned and stalked off.
“Mia! Wait!” said a voice behind her. She looked back, saw Raye running towards her.
“What do you want?” she asked, her voice like ice.
“Well… it’s just… you seem pretty cool, and I’m new here, and I was just wondering if you could show me around tomorrow? Help me get acquainted with this place?”
Mia was about to spurn the offer when she saw that Alexis was looking over to her. There was something in her eyes, like she was begging for the two to get along. And some of that ice in Mia’s voice melted as she smiled at Raye. “I’d love to.”
Maybe she wasn’t so bad after all.

Atop Mount Olympus, Haruka smiled. Everyone was happy now, just as she’d planned. And yet… she had a foreboding feeling inside her. It felt like…
Something was coming.
Something terrible.
And then it hit her. She knew, suddenly, what it was.
The end.
The end was coming.
